Virginia - A Silent Game of Mystery

Virginia is a game developed by 505 Games and falls under the action subcategory of games. Set in a fictional town called Kingdom in Virginia, the player takes on the role of FBI agent Anne Tarver, who is tasked with solving a mystery. A young boy named Lucas Fairfax has gone missing and it's up to Tarver to uncover the truth. The game is inspired by supernatural thrillers like Twin Peaks and X-Files.

The gameplay is similar to interactive movies and walking simulators. The player controls Tarver and travels around the city with the aid of another agent, Maria Halperin, to find clues and solve the mystery. However, the player has no actual control over the actions of the protagonist. The game is short, and two hours is usually enough to complete it. Virginia is made in an intentionally low-poly visual style with no dialogues, neither in subtitles nor voice acting. The player can only understand the narrative through the facial expressions and body language of the characters, as well as other clues.
